I was taught to dream but not how to pursue. Dreams without convictions is only potential lost. Wasting time dreaming and not learning how to turn to reality. Somehow it came so easily for others. I must've skipped class that day.. or I was too busy daydreaming..

5:15 pm - Writer's Block: World's best snack!
What are your all-time favorite snacks? Do you have different snacks for different activities (such as chips at work/school; Cheetohs during deadlines, or popcorn during movies/gaming)? How often does your taste in snacks change?

popcorn, wheat thins, chips and salsa and/or white cheese dip

Heartless, soulless, blood-sucking, leeching bastards!! The moral of the story, kids, is DON'T GET IN DEBT! Citibank defaulted on my account after they assured me it wouldn't. Just spent an hour trying to deal with this, and the best I can get is they'll review it and send me a letter after 48 hrs. This card has my entire debt on it! My Discover has enough credit to cover it, but they're not doing any balance transfers for maybe 3 months!! Like Dr. Dave used to say: Bend over, Grab ankles!

Making some personal changes. That's part of my goal this year.
Mostly, being more vocal about my own wants and needs.
Not putting up with bullshit and call people out on it.
Develop thicker skin.

Have more fun.

Pins came out this morning. They clipped one side and pulled them out the other. No anesthetic. The betadyne stung real bad and it hurt a little coming out but nothing excruciating. My finger hurts worse now because it swelled up even more. So glad to get those things out, though! Hope the swelling goes down soon!

Since myspace has blocked project playlists in favor of you using their own playlist maker, I've posted my playlist on my livejournal profile. It won't get as many plays there, but at least it's up.

10:27 pm - Facebook Users
Anybody ever have it happen where somebody has "confirmed" you as a friend when you didn't send a friend request? Somebody joined today and I'm already confirmed as a friend. Apparently, it's a distant family member, but still.. I was barely on today, and I definitely didn't send out any friend requests.

4:51 pm - Writer's Block: Department of Stereotypes
One of the most popular gender stereotypes is that women ask for directions while men would rather be lost than ask for help. In your personal experience, does this stereotype hold true?

There aren't stereotypes without actual incidents to back them up. I'd say I'd rather use a map, and I can usually find my way around even if I take a wrong turn or exit. I'm not sure if I've ever had to personally ask for directions.. maybe once or twice, but I'm not above it if it came down to it. That's the wonderful thing about online maps at Yahoo! or Google... they give you directions, too, and it's usually pretty hard to screw that up because they're usually very accurate and detailed. I know I've seen other guys/strangers at gas stations asking for directions, so apparently, they're not above it, either.

6:41 pm - Writer's Block: Fright Show
'Tis the season for scary movies. Some rank The Evil Dead as the best horror film of all time. What is your favorite scary movie?

I had my slasher movie phase in jr. high, watching most of the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm St. movies and just scary movies in general. I lost interest in them over the years, and now they make me uncomfortable, mostly.. not nauseous, just uncomfortable. Just don't dig the blood-curdling screams, blood, guts, and gore.. I think the only "scary" movies in my collection are Aliens and Terminator. Go, James Cameron, Go!

Although not scary, Army of Darkness is pretty freakin' sweet (since it mentioned The Evil Dead).

7:22 pm - Economic What??
I received an email a few days ago that was one of those multi-forwarded emails. It was about the "Bailout Plan" that just got passed today. It was serious in saying (paraphrasing) "If Bush wants to help the economy by giving out $700 billion, why not give that money to the citizens of America?" I forgot the math and the actual amount, but imagine if every citizen 18+ with a SSN got a cut of that $700 billion. First of all, that money would be taxed again before it even got into our hands. Imagine people paying off their debts and buying things. It went into more detail, but it was basically arguing that if you want to stimulate the economy with that amount of money, give it to the people who actually spend the money... and the amount was hundreds of times more than the paltry $600 "stimulus package" that we got this year.

I also skimmed over a note somebody posted that Ron Paul wrote, and one tidbit caught my eye. What sense does it make to "rescue our economy" by taking on more debt??? Hello?? I fear our economy, and possibly the global economy is headed for a major breakdown, and this will only be salt in the wound.

Furthermore, the biggest complaint we have are gas prices. I'd be able to buy more, or at least pay my credit down more if gas prices weren't so damn high. Why is gas as high as it is? Could it have ANYTHING to do with a war that was unwarranted, supported under the false notion of "weapons of mass destruction" and using the 9/11 attacks as a catapult for such a war? Even after the war started, gas prices were still well below $2/gal. They didn't start to creep that high until 2005. I believe it was in 2001 when gas prices in Memphis reached under the $1 mark. Seems like a pipe dream today.

What a mess.

Can you tell I just paid my bills?? ..well, not ALL of them, actually.

So, I woke up in the middle of the night last night.. My arm was positioned somewhere over my head, and it had been there for quite some time. How do I know? I COULD NOT MOVE IT!! My whole arm was completely asleep! I had to use my other arm to move it to where blood could actually flow back to my muscles. That was probably the most dead any part of my body has ever been.

Thought I'd share.
